Educational Background
Candidates must fulfill the following educational requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in:
Computer Science, or
Information Technology, or
Cyber Security, or
Information Security, or
Any equivalent relevant field
A Master’s degree in a related field will be preferred
Minimum 16 years of education is mandatory
Degrees must be attested by HEC
Professional Experience
Applicants must have:
Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience in:
Application security
Network security
Penetration testing
Relevant certifications are preferred, including:
CEH Certified
CHFI Certified
Skills and Competencies
The selected candidate is expected to have strong technical and professional skills, including:
Working closely with application development teams to provide security expertise on:
System security
Encryption
Authentication
Secure coding
Knowledge of application technologies and standards such as:
HTML, CSS, JavaScript
SQL, JSON, Python
XML, SSL/TLS
REST, SAML, OAuth
Hands-on experience in desktop, web, and mobile application penetration testing
Experience in deploying and operating security tools, including:
Metasploit
Burp Suite
Nessus
Kali Linux
Hydra
DNSPY
MobSF
Strong understanding of application security standards such as:
OWASP
SANS
Ability to assess:
Web applications
Mobile applications
APIs
Capability to manage assessment reports and provide recommendations
Experience with:
Static and dynamic application security testing (SAST, DAST)
Source code review
Knowledge of:
Cloud security
Security orchestration platforms
Containerization
DevSecOps
Ability to develop and maintain secure code review guidelines and standards
Strong collaboration skills with development and infrastructure teams
Ability to develop tools and scripts for automated security testing
